Develops skills in a variety of functions to support the facilities department. Performs duties related to shipping and receiving, mail services, inventory management, warehousing, support services, fleet management and hazardous materials management on a rotating basis. Duties may include organizing and maintaining files, preparing reports, delivering and sorting incoming/outgoing mail, servicing and/or operating Getty auto fleet and equipment, ordering supplies, moving furniture, fixtures and equipment (FF&E) and other items, providing set up and tear down support, and interacting with Getty visitors as necessary.

The Getty Research Institute Imaging Studios is currently accepting applications for a Senior Imaging Technician. We are seeking a positive, creative, and experienced imaging professional with expertise in digital imaging for cultural heritage. The successful candidate will be joining a team of skilled imaging professionals working on a variety of digitization activities assisting scholarly research, publications, online discovery, exhibitions and preservation.   The Senior Imaging Technician will have primary responsibility for digitization activities related to Research Institute exhibitions and will work closely with curators, exhibition staff, and other stakeholders to develop and execute digitization plans for in-house exhibitions including photography of exhibition objects for publication, preparation of images for large-format signage, and general exhibition documentation.

Reporting to the Design and Production Manager, the Senior Designer will work closely with Getty staff, freelancers, and vendors to produce a wide range of high-quality illustrated art books, including exhibition catalogues, academic monographs, trade titles, and children's books for both print and digital formats.   Getty Publications produces award-winning books that result from or complement the work of the J. Paul Getty Museum, the Getty Conservation Institute, the Getty Research Institute, and the Getty Foundation. The approximately 35 books published each year cover the fields of art, photography, archaeology, architecture, conservation, and the humanities for both the general public and specialists. Most books are published in print, and an increasing number are published digitally as well.   Getty Publications offers a collegial, family-friendly, and collaborative work environment where work-life balance is prioritized. Our Mission   The J. Paul Getty Museum seeks to inspire curiosity about, and enjoyment and understanding of, the visual arts by collecting, conserving, exhibiting, and interpreting works of art of outstanding quality and historical importance and is one of four programs of the J. Paul Getty Trust.  The Museum operates two sites, the Getty Villa in Malibu, which exhibits its collection of Greek and Roman antiquities, and the Getty Center in Brentwood, which displays its collections of European art: Medieval and Renaissance illuminated manuscripts, paintings, sculpture, decorative arts, drawings to 1900, and photography to the present day (including non-European works).  The Museum mounts approximately 25 temporary exhibitions a year across its two sites; maintains an annual permanent gallery improvement program and offers wide-ranging and ambitious programming for its visitors.   The Opportunity   The J. Paul Getty Museum is seeking an Associate Digital Media Producer for the Museum’s Public Affairs department. Reporting to the Assistant Director for Public Affairs, the Associate Digital Media Producer is responsible for the redesign, rebuild, reorganization, and maintenance of the Museum’s pages on the website, with the aim to better serve our audiences through increased storytelling while meeting our institutional goal to build our content ecosystem.This position is also responsible for managing pages on related to the curatorial and conservation departments, as well as general Museum information pages and develops new content for redesigned pages on to include News & Stories and Projects & Initiatives.   Working with key stakeholders and supervisors, the Associate Digital Media Producer will oversee the migration and updating of existing pages on that have been earmarked for retention.  Work will include making the necessary updates to existing pages and migrating them into new design templates, tracking progress, and sharing progress reports while being responsible for digital content assignments, owning and tracking them from inception through to launch with minimal supervision.Under guidance from the Public Affairs supervisory team, the successful candidate will work with a variety of stakeholders within the Museum and at the Trust to create new content for  They are responsible for uploading approved content using the Getty’s content management system (CMS), as well as sourcing images and ensuring their rights and reproduction approvals.The ideal candidate is highly organized and comfortable with operating independently and working with teams.  They also need a solid understanding of online platforms and have experience managing content for digital projects in an iterative, fast-paced environment and have experience writing, editing, and producing useful digital content for varied audiences.

The J. Paul Getty Trust seeks an experienced development professional to serve as Director of Individual Giving. The Director will play a central role in the fast-paced Development Office at the Getty with a focus on leading and developing the Getty Patron Program.     The Getty’s institutional advancement program was established in 2012 to build a community of donors and to cultivate support for key initiatives relevant to our donor community. This position will be essential to our next phase of departmental growth, serving as a combination of manager and strategic planner, as well as fundraiser and relationship-builder. Responsibilities, detailed further below, include driving continued, accelerated growth of the Getty Patron Program; developing strategies for inspiring and supporting gifts at every giving level; coaching and leading a team of direct reports; and working with colleagues to develop new giving opportunities to inspire donor support.   The incumbent must be a skilled and experienced manager and fundraiser, with strong communication skills, and an energetic and entrepreneurial work style.
