The Scholars Program at the Getty Research Institute (GRI) seeks highly motivated graduate students to join our team of Research Assistants. These part-time positions support the research, publication, exhibitions, and other activities of scholars at the Getty Center in Brentwood and the Getty Villa in Pacific Palisades.
Candidates who specialize in the art and visual cultures of all periods and regions are encouraged to apply. We are currently seeking to fill two part-time positions; one position will be dedicated to a candidate with a specialty in archaeology and the ancient world.
Drafts existing conditions and prepares proposed plans and elevations for interior projects. Duties will include drawing up building plan and modifying designs throughout the project’s development. Coordinates with other Getty departments to incorporate their systems’ needs, such as Getty Digital and Getty Security. Gathers design requirements and specifications. Reviews shop drawing submittals and provides comments. Tracks projects’ early phases from concept through construction documents.
