Maintains, troubleshoots, repairs, replaces, and installs fire alarm systems and components, including detection systems and pre-action systems. Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures. Inspects completed work for conformance with requirements of local building codes.

Assists in maintaining HVAC equipment, refrigeration equipment, specialty HVAC vaults, ice machines and kitchen equipment.

Applies paint, lacquer or other coating onto a variety of surfaces and materials, including walls, woodwork, fixtures, metal, Woodstock or fabricated items using a brush or spray gun. Uses hand scraper, wire brush, sandpaper or turpentine to clean surfaces and prepare for painting or retouching. Scrapes old paint from surfaces and places putty or filler in nail holes and cracks. Mixes colors, oils, thinners and other paint ingredients to obtain proper color or consistency.

Responsible for a full range of horticultural tasks for the Getty Center and Getty Villa. Maintains horticulture management guidelines for Getty landscapes and implements fine horticultural techniques to increase landscape aesthetics.
