Under moderate supervision, performs all editorial functions—which may include copyediting and proofreading—for publications on a variety of topics and with different levels of complexity, from concept through transmittal. Provides editorial support through the production stages to finished product, including coordinating the work of freelance contractors. May assume project management responsibility as team leader on less complex projects.

Under minimal supervision, maintains record drawings and exhibits to reflect new construction or alterations to existing conditions using project drawings, engineering sketches, verbal instructions, specifications, or other supporting documentation. Collects and analyzes field data and applies it to design drawings and exhibits. Ensures accuracy of drawings and maintains production schedules. Performs calculations and applies details appropriately. Demonstrates attention to detail and ability to communicate with team members. Contributes to the maintenance of Facilities Space Management Database and associated drawings (using ARCHIBUS).

The Getty Research Institute is seeking a Research Assistant who will work with the associate director of the Research and Knowledge Creation Division, facilitating research and/or assisting with programs, publications, and exhibitions. The ideal candidate will be a graduate student with experience in Art History, Information Studies, or Digital Humanities, with excellent data management skills and diverse research experience.
