Reporting to the Managing Director responsible for the Absolute Return, Credit and Fixed Income portfolios, the Manager will be an integral part of the investment team and will ideally have had exposure to conducting due diligence across Absolute Return, Public and/or Private Credit, Fixed Income, and Public Equities fund managers. The role involves sourcing, evaluating, and monitoring external managers, as well as contributing to asset allocation, portfolio construction, and risk management decisions. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in conducting due diligence projects under little to no supervision and should be deeply dedicated to Getty and its mission.

This role encompasses a range of responsibilities, including but not limited to those outlined below.

• Conducting thorough due diligence on the most compelling prospective opportunities including analysis of investment strategy, process, organization, portfolio positions, and performance
• Preparing investment memos, supporting documentation and research materials
• Developing and generating reports in collaboration with the investment operations team to analyze fund and portfolio-level exposures, risk metrics, fund flows, liquidity, and performance
• Coordinating legal reviews, terms negotiation, funding sources, and operational requirements with internal operations staff and outside service providers
• Remaining current on investment strategies, portfolio positions, new managers and market trends by conducting independent research and attending conferences
• Providing guidance and mentorship to less experienced team members
• Building and maintaining a strong network of industry contacts within the investment community
• Completing projects across all asset classes and assisting colleagues as needed

• College or university degree, CFA, CAIA and/or MBA a plus
• 6-8 years of relevant experience at a foundation, endowment, family office, financial institution, or consulting firm, or other asset allocation experience
• Strong knowledge of capital market dynamics, risk, and complex investment strategies
• Experience across multiple asset classes, with particular emphasis on absolute return (equity long/short, credit, arbitrage, macro, etc.) and private credit strategies a plus

• Intellectually curious and motivated self-starter
• Proficient in multitasking and deadline management
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present perspectives and recommendations in a clear and logical manner
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills integrating a data-driven approach to investment diligence and research
• Strong organizational skills with a high attention to detail
• Strong computer skills and adeptness at learning new technology, familiarity with Caissa and Bloomberg a plus
• Team-oriented and willing to roll up their sleeves to contribute to the group’s common objectives
• High level of integrity, honesty, and sense of fiduciary duty
