The Getty Communications department seeks a detail-oriented and collaborative Web Content Specialist to maintain content and aid in content-migration across Getty.edu. Reporting to the Senior Producer of Web Content, this role is dedicated to updating and maintaining Getty.edu web pages, providing a positive user experience. The Web Content Specialist works to a high standard of excellence and polish, writes copy, and enters content and metadata into our content management system.
Skilled at organization-wide collaboration with excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills
Demonstrated ability to translate organizational goals, user needs, and research into actionable content strategies and plans, in complex environment
Skilled at creating content according to brand, editorial, UX, and accessibility best practices
Editorial experience with writing styles and best practices, preferred
Ability to work both independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team
Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize work tasks
Basic knowledge of Adobe Creative software (Photoshop, etc.)
Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1) and best practices
Knowledge of Google Analytics
Knowledge of digital software applications (Google Suite, etc.)
Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and markdown
