Reporting to the Design and Production Manager, the Senior Designer will work closely with Getty staff, freelancers, and vendors to produce a wide range of high-quality illustrated art books, including exhibition catalogues, academic monographs, trade titles, and children's books for both print and digital formats.
Getty Publications produces award-winning books that result from or complement the work of the J. Paul Getty Museum, the Getty Conservation Institute, the Getty Research Institute, and the Getty Foundation. The approximately 35 books published each year cover the fields of art, photography, archaeology, architecture, conservation, and the humanities for both the general public and specialists. Most books are published in print, and an increasing number are published digitally as well.
Getty Publications offers a collegial, family-friendly, and collaborative work environment where work-life balance is prioritized. We support a hybrid work schedule with some days at our Getty Center offices and some telework days. Staff members can participate in Getty-sponsored community service and serve on committees on diversity, equity, accessibility, and inclusion (DEAI) and on mentorship and community building.
