Job Summary

In Getty Digital, the Digital Workspace (DW) team works with all Getty users through our Technical Support, Training & Communications, and Technology Asset Management units.  We are seeking an IT Project Manager to join our team to help manage our projects, assist with end user applications, and the operation of Technology Asset Management.


Reporting to the Assistant Director of Digital Workspace, this position will manage departmental projects (such as application/OS implementation, upgrade, physical inventory, vendor evaluation/RFP) user communications (such as hosting user forums) and user assistance. This position may have a dotted line to Technology Asset Management and receive assignments to assist their operation. This IT Project Manager will work with technical and end user teams across the organization. This job requires background in user assistance, excellent communication skills, attention to details, and the ability to work with little supervision. The ideal candidate will have strong evaluation and problem-solving abilities, a passion to help/assist Getty colleagues in advancing the institution’s digital literacy, and a desire to continuously learn and expand their skill set.

Major Job Responsibilities

  • Manage Digital Workspace end user apps such as Microsoft Office 365 (Word/Excel/PPT), Microsoft Visio 365, Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Manage “user selected” apps, such as Slack, Airtable, Virbella, and more. 
  • Provide ITSM system (Cherwell) assistance to Tech Support in their Incident Management operation and to Technology Asset Management in their use of the CMDB/Asset database.
  • Assist in Technology Asset Management operation projects such as equipment ordering, receiving, disposal, physical inventory, used equipment sale to staff and vendors.
  • Manage software license compliance, including an annual audit of all Getty Digital software uses. Be the administrator of Microsoft licensing site, and work with software vendors/resellers to purchase or assist users in purchasing software licenses and subscriptions.  



  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or a combination of education and relevant experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive software evaluation, development and implementation experience
  • 0-2 years IT project management experience

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Project management skills -- familiar with PM (Project Management) methodology, can write project charters, issue logs, change logs, etc. Familiar with PM tools such as Project, Workfront. 
  • Knowldege of ITSM with in-depth knowledge of Incident Management, CMDB, and Service Level Management. 
  • Excellent communications skills, able to interact with users, as well as presenting in user meeting or large user forums. 
  • Excellent writing skills – can compose app software pages, user documentation, announcements and other communication materials with good grammatical and technical accuracy. 
  • Ability to climb stairs, move equipment, and push carts loaded with equipment; can lift up to 50 lbs.
  • ITSM/ITIL certification preferred
