Job Summary

Designs, installs, and maintain state of the art security Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) systems and related components. Areas of specialization include video management systems, digital video recorders, programming, network configuration, coordinates the work of vendors/contractors as needed. Works on assignments that are varied in complex and nature. Works on other technical systems such as access control/intrusion detection, and Fire/Life Safety.

Major Job Responsibilities

Applies advanced knowledge of VMS systems such as Genetec, Milestone, Bosch.

    • Installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of high end video management systems, digital video recording systems, and CCTV cameras
    • Responsible for wire termination and system programming of CCTV systems
    • Maintains vendor/contractor relationships and oversees quality control of services provided
    • Serves as administrator for local and wide area computer networks and complex operating systems
    • Maintains knowledge of technological advancements and recommends improvements to Getty CCTV surveillance systems
    • Review and provide video images for investigative purposes


  • High School/GED
  • Minimum 4-5 years related experience with CCTV systems
  • Certification in area of specialization
  • Advanced training in electronics and computer networks

  • Performs advanced support functions
  • May serve as a technical resource to coworkers
  • Able to maintain and configure servers, networks, applications and databases
  • Good understanding of LAN, WAN, network switches, IP address schemes, and troublehooting skills to diagnose network communication problems between cameras and VMS systems
  • Ability to read, interpret and analyze architectural blueprints and electric schematics
