Maintains the workflow of Warehouse operations and the Warehouse space, prioritizes daily tasks with Supervisor and the other Senior Warehouse Associates (SWAs).
Major Job Responsibilities
Oversees daily operations: assigns daily tasks to Associates; checks that daily priorities are completed; maintains organization of warehouse; reports on daily warehouse operations
Primarily responsible for receiving, returning, distributing, shipping, and preparing for sale a wide variety of book and non-book merchandise for the entire Retail & Merchandising Department
Secondarily responsible for supporting Museum Store operations
2-3 years supervisory experience in a warehouse environment
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Communication and interpersonal skills
Customer service skills
Bookkeeping level math skills
Must be able to operate a computerized integrated POS/inventory system
Must be able to lift up to 40lbs from the floor
Job calls for bending, stooping, or reaching, but not constantly
Training for forklift and pallet jack operation may be required and provided
May need to operate a 2-axle box truck
May have to use 6ft or higher ladders infrequently
Mechanical knowledge/skills helpful to describe work-order repairs or replace equipment parts.
Knowledge of institution's health and safety practices.
