Job Summary

Position is located at the Getty Center.  Works under regular supervision and reports to the Cash Office/AP Supervisor supporting the Finance staff.  Performs moderately complex technical accounting support work.  Work involves performing detailed assignments in recording, classifying, examining and verifying financial records, documents, or reports.

This position is part of a support team and provides back-up as required including commuting between our Villa location in Pacific Palisades and the Getty Center as needed.

Major Job Responsibilities

  • Daily pick up, process and deposit of cash
  • Reconciles parking and book store revenue to ensure any discrepancies are accounted for.  Prepares and sends deposits to the bank.  Researches and analyzes any discrepancies and records finding appropriately.  Provides change as needed to identified areas across the organization
  • Coordinates with Accounting to record daily revenue and prepares reports for posting to the general ledger
  • Assists Accounting with inquiries needed to perform re-classes pertaining to revenue collection
  • Maintains a calendar with all records of change orders in transit to be used in the daily safe reconciliation resulting in preparation of weekly safe reconciliation forms and supporting documentation
  • Handles cash office appointments to provide check cashing for couriers and or guests per diem checks
  • Handles armored service pick ups and sets up schedule changes as needed
  • Serves as backup for AP & Payroll Depts. printing checks and sending positive pay file to the bank

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance related field preferred
  • 5+ years accounting support experience
