  • Job Summary

    Working under general supervision, the Audio-Visual Supervisor plans, directs and administers the audio – visual department.  This includes providing long range and project planning, and overseeing and monitoring daily audio-visual operations of the department.

    Major Job Responsibilities

    • Audio-Visual Supervisor plans, directs and administers overall operations.
    • Audio-Visual Supervisor supervises department and demonstrates routine hands-on support in the overall management of the department.
    • Serves as technical expert and internal specialist for consultation on equipment and venue assessments as well as in making recommendations and planning during significant Capital Projects.
    • Assigns work related to preventive and corrective maintenance.
    • Assigns work related to support of meetings and events.
    • Provides routine oversight during meetings and events, including participation in support of meetings and events held in the evening and/or weekends, in order to assess quality of equipment, performance of technical staff, guest experience.
    • Ensures progress and that projects are completed on time and within established parameters.
    • Ensures departmental objectives, procedures, and policies are followed.
    • Prepares and tracks operational budgets.
    • Manages employees including mentoring, coaching, counseling, training, and evaluating work.

    Qualifications

    • 2-3 years of supervisory experience

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

    • Considerable technical and procedural knowledge of assigned area
    • Ability to organize, manage work, and monitor the performance of others
    • Ability to orient and train staff
    • Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written form
