  • Job Summary

    The J. Paul Getty Trust seeks an experienced individual for a full-time position of Sr. ERP Software Engineer. The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s (or foreign equivalent degree), in Computer Science or related field, and 5 years of progressively responsible post-baccalaureate experience as a Software Engineer, Business System Analyst, or closely related occupation. Requires experience in 1) PeopleSoft Financial Domain and Functionalities; 2) PeopleCode programing languages including SQR, Oracle and HTML; 3) Business process management software, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP).     Major Job Responsibilities

    • Work primarily with Oracle/PeopleSoft enterprise applications.
    • Compare, evaluate and implement new features and technologies into client computing environments.
    • Participate in all phases of the software development cycle. Perform complex analysis and design of multi-projects and intra-system tradeoffs between users.
    • Work closely with user community for requirements analysis, problem definition and solutions development.
    • Translate and implement business model requirements into systems design specifications.
    • Lead the design, development, coding, testing, troubleshooting and debugging of new software and implement-packaged solutions.
    • Create software to support system component interactions for optimal user efficiency and utilization.
    • Participate in the development of software documentation and user manuals.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s (or foreign equivalent degree), in Computer Science or a related field,
    • Five (5) years of progressively responsible post-baccalaureate experience as a Software Engineer, Business System Analyst, or closely related occupation.

    • PeopleSoft Financial Domain and Functionalities;
    • PeopleCode programing languages including SQR, Oracle and HTML;
    • Business process management software, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP).
