  • Job Summary

    The Development Coordinator and Patron Concierge will be responsible for working with the Getty’s Development Department, providing administrative and program support for the newly launched Patron Program. He/she will report to the Associate Director for Strategic Engagement.

    Major Job Responsibilities

    • Respond to requests and inquiries from donors and donor prospects, either directly or by routing to the appropriate point of contact
    • Primary contact for all Patron parking and reservation requests
    • Support Patron Events and other events with pre-event logistics including invitations, invitation lists, recording RSVPs, corresponding with guests, Raiser’s Edge RSVP and guest entry, etc., and night-of-tasks including logistical support and leading registration and check-in
    • Assist with the creation, communication, and dissemination of solicitation, stewardship, and other communication pieces for Patrons and other donors, including mailings, solicitations, catalogues, holiday cards, and more
    • Maintain data and statistics about the Patron Program
    • Provide support for annual solicitations and renewals
    • Create and pull lists, queries, and reports as needed from Raiser’s Edge
    • and other duties as assigned


    • Bachelor’s degree
    • 2-4 years similar or related work experience
    • Willingness to work at events as needed on evenings and weekends
    • Proficiency in Raiser’s Edge a plus, and Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word required
    • Knowledge of designing and design software a plus [Adobe, Powerpoint, Etc]
    • Ability to lift, stand for long periods, and travel locally as needed

    • Strong organizational skills and a high attention to detail
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
    • Ability to work independently and follow through on all tasks as assigned, as well as to work well within a small team
    • Ability to work courteously and effectively with donors, museum staff, and many diverse individuals, including on the phone and by email
    • Ability to handle sensitive materials with discretion and confidentiality
    • Excellent judgement
