Job Summary

Under regular supervision, performs moderately complex Accounts Payable work. Work involves processing, examining and verifying invoices, documents and reports. Contacts vendors and employees to get and give information.

Major Job Responsibilities

  • Processes and issues accurate and timely payments to individuals and vendors
  • Reviews invoices for appropriate documentation and process 2 way PO matching
  • Process check requests
  • Processes invoices for payment including verifying any sales and use tax that may or may not be required and any withholding on out of state or foreign vendors
  • Processes all pay cycles necessary to provide timely and accurate payments (checks, ACH, ePayables, international wire transfers and foreign drafts)
  • Responds and researches inquiries from vendors, Getty staff and any 3rd party regarding payments, invoices, wires, checks and vouchers
  • Monitors A/P Processing mailbox, the main source for vendors and Getty staff members to submit invoices for payment
  • Sends daily wires. Handles any returned wires by contacting the program associated with the wire and gets the correct information and resends the wire(s)
  • Assists with voiding checks or any other method of payment and placing stop payments
  • Reconciles vendor statements, research and correct discrepancies
  • Assists in month end closing responsibilities
  • Completes special projects and miscellaneous assignments as required

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance related field preferred
  • 5+ years Accounts Payable experience

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of applicable Accounts Payable/General Ledger systems and procedures
  • Familiarity with Online Treasury Management Systems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent customer service/interpersonal skills
  • Advanced computer skills and demonstrated experience with office software and email applications
  • Experience with PeopleSoft Financials program a plus
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
